Hello again Stobart Motorsport fans.
It has been a tough opening day to Rally Catalunya but we are still in the points in seventh and more importantly in a good position to fight our way up the leaderboard. It took a while to get my confidence back after three accidents in a row on the last three WRC rallies but I think by the last stage I was starting to feel comfortable. After the six stages yesterday I had a small session with the team physio just to get loosened off from the day of driving. I usually don’t get too sore from the rallies but it is a good way to wind down and help recuperate for the following day. I often go for a small jog and a stretch before each day to wake myself up in the morning; one of the hardest parts of rallying is long road sections first thing in the morning! Both Matthew and I are in points scoring positions for the Stobart team and he is also starting to find a good pace so hopefully we can both climb the leaderboard today and continue this until the rally ends on Sunday.
