Hello everyone and welcome to my third blog for this year. Well it hasn’t been the best start to the event in Turkey for me because I picked up a cold travelling out here even though it’s a really really hot place. Anyway these things happen and I’m sure I’ll sweat it out during the stages tomorrow. This event is tough but I’m feeling good after our result in Greece and hopefully things continue on an upward trend here! Tonight’s going to be pretty special with the start in the middle of Antalya at the university and then a run over the super special. The town itself is a lot bigger than people think and the massive amount of tourists who visit here will be a big boost for the event.
Back home before coming out here Scott and I have been training hard for our End 2 End charity ride. 960 miles over nine days from one end of Britain to the other is going to be no easy feat! But we’re up for the challenge! It’s a pretty special ride for both Scott and I as we are riding for the Richard Burns Foundation - which we both have been associated with for a while now, the Great North Air Ambulance - which help airlift Scott out of trouble when we had our big accident in 2005 and the Cumbria Community Foundation who are based at Dovenby Hall (M-Sport) and do a so much for the area we live in.
