Hi again from a fantastic Friday in Mexico!
Well it has been a pretty dramatic opening day to the event but history tells us that this is one of the most unpredictable rallies in the championship. We’ve had a good day with some positive splits and now I’m in seventh position so it’s a perfect situation at the moment as my goal is to score on every event from here on in.
I had a fairly nice pasta for lunch today and Scott had a sandwich which was a far better option than his lunch yesterday when he mistook a creamy chicken sauce for a soup and drank a whole cup! Muppet. The training we have been doing has helped a lot because today was really hot and trust me being inside those world rally cars doesn’t help the cause. They may be expensive bits of kit but shockingly no air-conditioning!
Well it’s off for an early night now, it’s a pity what has happened to Gigi because he is a great team-mate to have but hopefully we can fly the Stobart flag high for the rest of the event.
