Welcome to Stobart Motorsport - Other Stobart Crews

In addition to the Stobart VK M-Sport Ford world rally team, this year sees three additional Stobart Motorsport backed cars competing in the UK. Mark Higgins and Rory Kennedy are again united with Stobart and are competing on the seven-round British Rally Championship in an all-new MG Super 2000. Higgins has a proud history with Stobart Motorsport wining BRC titles in 2005 and 2006. Last year he also finished an impressive third overall in the Production World Rally Championship in a Stobart Motorsport Mitsubishi Lancer GpN.

Rising rally star Kris Hall continues his relationship with the team and this year the 18-year-old from Cumbria is competing in the popular Fiesta Sporting Trophy in the UK. Along with co-driver Chris Ridge, he is also tipped to tackle a few other selected national rounds in the Fiesta ST. Hall, the new kid on the block in one-make championship rallying, won the 205 challenge last year competing on half the events at the tender age of 17. The youngster has also been selected into the prestigious MSA British Rally Academy training scheme for 2008.

Running in the MSA British Historic Rally Championship this year for the Stobart outfit is none other than rally legend Jimmy McRae. McRae, who won the BRC five times between 1981 and 1988, will drive a Porsche 911 in this year’s historic championship and has the very capable Cumbrian co-driver Andy Richardson calling the pace notes for him.
